*As of now, we are currently planning Saturday Gamedays for our HS Girls. However, we will incorporate this element at any other level (Boys or Girls) should we have the necessary numbers at any other level!
A new element we are bringing this Summer will be splitting all HS players (27s-30s) into equal teams to compete against each other for the entire Summer.
All teams will have the same coaching staff that stays with them all Summer.
Each Saturday that there isn't a tournament will be an opportunity for the girls to focus solely on the competitive side of the game.
No practices or drills. Come to the field, get warmed-up, and compete.
Our goal with this is to provide the best competitive environment possible.
- High School and College seasons are so impactful because players are spending most of their week practicing together in preparation for one specific match-up that they are well-rested for and can also recover from afterwards.
- Tournaments certainly have their value. But in order to make the financial & time commitment worthwhile, the players have to play a lot of games. That might sound great on paper, but that just leads to fatigue, injury, match-up imbalances, and lots of other variables that don't necessarily help the players get better.
We see a lot of potential with these Gamedays and hope the players and families see it as well. There is plenty more to come with these as we get closer to the Summer, but we see this as another (local!) opportunity to help/watch our players compete.
The current plan is to structure these days around two (2) teams, but this is subject to change depending on overall participation numbers.
